Land acknowledgement alone is insufficient; We recognize the violence, displacement, erasure, and forced migration of vulnerable peoples, the desert prairies that helped Black Folks endure “Americanism.” As we resurrect the African Diasporic History of Blackdom as well as the ancestral spirits of Mescalero Apaches, we pray for guidance through this journey for truth and reconciliation.
