The Red Cross unit of Blackdom are doing a fine work. Yesterday six scrub cloths were brought up and are now on display in the window of the Roswell Red Cross workroom. See Them! These scrub cloths are a much-needed article in base hospitals. The colored women at Blackdom have banded themselves together and knitted, thirty of these scrub cloths. The local chapter urges that every household in town send to them all the old rags, either white or colored rags, for the making of these scrub cloths.
A box is arranged to hold the rags and the women of Blackdom will call for them. Remember, that it is sinful to burn waste rags that may be utilized in scrub cloths for the hospitals for out sick or wounded soldiers. The Blackdom women in charge of the scrub cloth-knitting are Mesdames S. M. Boyer, L. H. Henderson, E. K. Allen, Harriet Smith, Franie King, Malone and Superer.
